Description:
Join the BioMotion Orthopedic Lab as a Clinical Radiologic Technologist and play a hands‑on role in advancing orthopedic research. In this position, you'll work directly with research participants, support imaging workflows, and contribute to image processing, segmentation, that fuels cutting‑edge studies. This is a great opportunity to expand into research and advanced imaging analysis. You'll work in a low‑volume, research‑focused environment where curiosity is encouraged, learning is constant, and your work directly supports scientific discovery.Position Summary: Produces radiographs of various portions of the body according to physician's request.
Position Key Accountabilities: - Develops radiographs using an automatic processor and checks for desired results.
- Forwards radiographs to the radiologist for review and interpretation.
- Produces radiographs in satellite facilities.
- Maintains quality assurance on all radiological equipment.
- Cleans and maintains processors.
- Ensures and assists in the accurate timing and positioning techniques.
- Processes the necessary paperwork for billing purposes and accepts payment.
- Assists in training new Radiologic Technician I's.
- Adheres to laboratory safety procedures.
- Must be able to respond to emergency situations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills: - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) by Texas Medical Board (TMB) required
- Radiography (R) by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required
Minimum Education: Graduate from an approved two year program in Radiologic technology required
Minimum Experience: 2 years in radiology technology required
Physical Requirements: Exerts up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
