The Clinical Informatics Analyst a{ text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td{ border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th{ background-color: #f5f5f5; } provides analytical and technical support for clinical and research informatics initiatives. This role supports the collection, analysis, and management of clinical and operational data from enterprise systems to assist leadership, faculty, and staff with reporting, approved research activities, and data-driven decision-making. The position focuses on data preparation, system support, and project coordination to improve workflows and operational efficiency.

This position is for 12 months, with a possibility of continuity.

Position Summary:

The Clinical Informatics Analyst Pathology provides analytical and technical support for clinical and research informatics activities. The role supports the collection, analysis, and management of clinical and operational data from enterprise information systems to assist leadership, faculty, and staff with reporting, approved research activities, and informatics initiatives. This position focuses on data preparation, system support, and project coordination to enhance workflows, datadriven decisionmaking, and operational efficiency.

Position Key Accountabilities:
  • Extracts and analyzes data from enterprise information systems to prepare reports and statistical analyses in support of leadership and stakeholders.
  • Assists with the planning, coordination, and monitoring of approved projects by supporting requirements gathering, documentation, and progress tracking under the direction of assigned leadership.
  • Provides daytoday support for database and information system management, including assisting with routine system operations and issue resolution.
  • Assesses and resolves routine technical issues related to assigned information systems and applications, escalating complex issues as appropriate.
  • Supports project evaluation and initiation activities by assisting with requirements gathering, assessing business needs and feasibility, and preparing data analyses and informatics metrics for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Uses standard computing and administrative software tools to support operational and administrative activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field required May substitute required education with equivalent years of experience beyond the minimum experience requirement. Master's Degree in Health informatics, biomedical informatics, data science, or a related discipline preferred
Minimum Experience:
2 years of related professional, academic, or research experience required
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.

This position is a security-sensitive position pursuant to Texas Education Code §51.215 and Texas Government Code §411.094. To the extent that a position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Texas Business and Commerce Code §117.001(2), the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired for and to continue to be employed in that position.
