Louis A. Faillace, MD, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, is seeking a distinguished Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to serve as the Endowed Chair in Child Psychiatry. This is a full-time, tenured faculty position offering a unique opportunity to lead and expand innovative clinical, research, and educational programs in child and adolescent mental health. We are especially interested in candidates with a strong track record of NIH-funded research, both current and past, and a demonstrated commitment to advancing the field through interdisciplinary collaboration and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership for child and adolescent psychiatry programs
• Maintain an active, externally funded research program
• Mentor junior faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and trainees
• Collaborate across departments and institutions to foster integrated care and research
• Contribute to clinical services and academic teaching

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent with board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Texas
• Proven history of NIH funding (current and previous)
• Academic credentials commensurate with appointment at the rank of Professor or Associate Professor
• Demonstrated leadership in clinical, research, and/or educational initiatives
