Description:
McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, in the Division of Adolescent Medicine, is seeking a full-time Adolescent Medicine Faculty Physician (Assistant/Associate Professor, non-tenure clinical) to join our growing collaborative team.
Position Key Accountabilities: This position is centered on clinical care and teaching. The ideal candidate will have expertise in adolescent and young adult specialty and primary care, including care for patients with weight-related concerns, reproductive health needs, eating disorders, complex care management, and mental health challenges. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams are essential.
The candidate should also have experience-and a strong interest-in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Responsibilities include both inpatient and outpatient clinical care, as well as participation in trainee education. There will also be opportunities to lead or collaborate on quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects.
Qualifications: - Texas Medical License
- Board- eligible or board-certified in Adolescent Medicine
- Expertise in the delivery of primary and subspecialty care to adolescents and young adults, including those with weight concerns, reproductive health issues, complex medical and psychosocial needs, and mental health difficulties.
- Experience in teaching trainees.
- Must be eligible for a Texas medical license and Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Adolescent Medicine.
