Description:
Under the leadership of the Senior Operations Manager. The Safety Coordinator plans and coordinates the operations of an organization. The Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of departmental and organizational operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies. The Safety Coordinator must have the skills, knowledge and experience to coordinate all aspects of organizational lines of organization lines of business. Must have a Valid Drivers License and obtain/maintain security clearance.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8: 00 am to 5: 00 pm
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.

| QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS |
|
• OSHA 500- Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry •OSHA 510- Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry •OSHA 200- Hazard Recognition in Construction •Strong Interpersonal Skills • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner • Ability to effectively delegate and develop team members • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information • Ability to manage time effectively and handle both internal and external conflicts • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills • Strong Business Acumen • Knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws and procedures • Knowledge of wage and hour laws • Advanced Knowledge of various Risk/Safety systems • Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office Package (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) • OSHA 30 hour General Industry course or ability to acquire certification within 30 days of employment. • OSHA 30 hour Construction course or ability to acquire certification within 30 days of employment.

| ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS |
| This position manages Safety Coordinator function and directly reports to Operations/Leadership. |
| EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE |
| • Bachelor’s degree in business, related field Preferred •3-5 years relevant work experience in managing a Safety and Health programs. • Strong ability to organize effectively, delegate responsibility, solve problems quickly and communicate clearly • Experience with leading high performing teams • Ambitious and target focused with a drive to succeed • Ability to manage time effectively and handle both internal and external conflicts • Familiarity with Affirmative Action Plans and AbilityOne Program • Experience in working with Community Agencies and/or individuals with disabilities preferred

| PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS |
| While performing the duties of this job individuals will sit for long periods of time working in front of a computer; lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds. |

| POSITION CLASSIFICATION AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK |
| This is an Exempt full-time position; Work schedule varies., but a work week of at least 40 hours is expected. Travel: This position requires 60% travel according to operational needs; travel is often outside of the local area and overnight. |
