The position involves operating various machinery and tools including mills, cutters, and punch presses, as well as manually handling and assembling materials according to production work orders.

What You'll Do
  • Read and follow production work orders
  • Cut and assemble rubber into accurate sizes using scissors, knives, carpet saws, or clicker punches
  • Operate a 60-inch mill, feeding rubber material and cutting material with knife and/or carpet saw
  • Operate a calendar mill under using long-handled tools and push-button controls
  • Perform dimension and weight checks on materials
  • Place and remove materials on slab off conveyors and storage shelving (heights 13"-51")
  • Operate a cutter and use templates for accuracy
  • Build layers according to shop package instructions
  • Operate a punch press to punch holes in stacked rubber
  • Safely lift and handle materials weighing 7-80 lbs (average daily weight: 50 lbs)
  • Use walk-behind lifts to move material bins
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety practices
  • Assist others in operations and follow all plant safety protocols
