Delivers materials to job site, inspects and maintains truck, reports shortages and claims to supervisor and assists in loading and storing of materials. Not a CDL driver but may require some certification depending on state law.
Essential Functions - Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Transports employees to and from vehicle service appointments or in cases of roadside breakdowns, as needed
- Helps maintain and manage spare fleet vehicles, ensuring readiness and proper documentation
- Assists with tracking and coordinating trailer and lift usage, maintenance, and location status
- Support the administrative team with vehicle inventory, key management, decals, and documentation
- Serve as a point of contact for vehicle-related needs across departments, acting quickly and professionally
- Help with ensuring correct material is pulled and loaded on our truck for delivery
- Deliver materials to the job site
- Recording selected merchandise in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Ensuring correct and complete labels are attached to all orders processed
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Operate and preventively maintain warehouse equipment
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Working in accordance with all warehouse safety regulations
- Load finished product onto truck
- Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager regarding the warehouse or deliveries
- Navigate equipment through a warehouse to collect customer orders
- Other relative duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications• Minimum Education - High School diploma or GED
• Forklift certification preferred
• Clean driving record and current operator's license
• At least 21 years of age to drive for the company
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Experience driving trucks for delivery
• Good communication skills - Proper use of company issued devices
• Ability to do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions and complete forms
• Ability to work closely & cordially with other staff associates
Physical Demands This position requires physical activity consistent with a construction or installation environment. The employee will spend more than two-thirds of their time standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. Approximately one-third of the time may be spent walking and engaging in verbal communication or listening. Frequent lifting and moving of materials weighing between 25 and 50 pounds is required.
Work Environment This role may involve travel to project sites and exposure to a variety of environmental conditions. These may include outdoor weather, proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery, and the use of hand tools or hardware. Employees may be subject to frequent heavy lifting and other physical demands typical of a construction or warehouse environment.
