Job Description

The Amlon Group is hiring a IT Solutions Lead in Plano, TX. This is a full-time position.

The IT Solutions role is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing IT infrastructure and industrial technology systems to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient operations. This position provides technical expertise in networking, virtualization, data integration, cybersecurity, PLC/HMI programming, system troubleshooting, and IT project management while supporting continuous improvement across the organization. Responsibilities: Project Management and Support: Leading IT projects and tasks while also providing expert advice on best practices and emerging technologies in industrial IT systems. Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network devices, and virtualization Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements. Install and upgrade computer components and software and integrate automation processes. Setup and Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues. Focus on managing and integrating data across various systems, ensuring accurate and seamless data flow, work on integrating disparate systems, maintaining data integrity, and optimizing data workflows Provide good documentation and technical specifications to the team for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure. Perform regular data backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures. Network and Security Management: Focusing on designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure and security protocols within an industrial setting, ensuring reliable and secure communication between various industrial control systems. PLC and HMI Programming and Integration: Specializing in programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and developing Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to control and monitor industrial processes, while ensuring seamless integration with other IT systems. System Optimization and Troubleshooting: Conducting regular audits and optimizations of the industrial IT infrastructure to improve performance and efficiency and troubleshooting complex system issues to minimize downtime in production environments. Training and Development: Developing and delivering training programs for staff on the use and maintenance of industrial IT systems and staying updated with the latest industry trends to ensure continuous improvement and modernization of skills and systems. Perform other related duties as needed or assigned. Experience: 35 years of experience in IT systems administration, industrial IT, automation, or a related field. Experience with network infrastructure, servers, virtualization, hardware/software troubleshooting, and system maintenance. Experience with PLC programming, HMI systems, and industrial control system integration preferred. Experience with data integration, cybersecurity, backups, disaster recovery, and system security. Experience managing IT projects, system upgrades, technical documentation, and employee training. Industrial or manufacturing environment experience preferred. Physical Requirements: The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Employee is required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Travel will be required if needed to visit company locations across multiple states. Travel by car and airplane will be required. Working Conditions: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee will encounter while performing the essential job functions of this job. This position works in a typical office environment and will be required to be outdoors in the plant from time to time as needed. Safety glasses and closed toe shoes are always required when in the plant or warehouse. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
