What you will be doing in the role of a Director, Partnership Stratgey The Senior Director, Partnerships Strategy is a member of the leadership team for Corporate Partnerships. This role provides strategic thought partnership and support to the Senior Vice President, Corporate Partnerships and Direct Marketing in strengthening fundraising efforts. This position will have a primary focus in creating and developing strategies to establish, cultivate and provide an aggressive fundraising program to generate increased revenue for the organization. The role will build strategic, integrated partnership opportunities in collaboration with the fundraising team and the mission and marketing teams. What you will bring to the table The primary objective of the Senior Director, Partnerships Strategy is to support Susan G. Komen in achieving our overall Vision and Mission by: Serving as a critical resource for corporate partnerships team, helping to set and refine strategic priorities and strategy for current and prospective corporate and foundation donors.Supporting the development of dynamic grant materials, proposals, presentations, budgets, stewardship reports, and other donor communications.Supporting the development of strategic, integrated and viable partnership opportunities in collaboration with fundraising team.Serving as an expert for research and industry trends; maintaining an awareness of the competition and identifying competitive threats.Leading the preparation for Corporate partnerships team meetings and trainings, including development and distribution of resources and materials.Managing the SVP, Corporate Partnership and Direct Marketings preparation for and involvement in Board and Development Committee meetings, Townhalls and annual priority and budget-setting processes.Leading the implementation of systems, processes and tools to streamline the Corporate Partnerships Teams operations to meet the needs of the team and stakeholders.Managing Corporate Partnerships department budget, including accurate tracking of expenses, projections and revenue reconciliation.Partnering collaboratively and proactively with other departments (Marketing, Mission, Legal, Experiential, Community Development) where resources are needed for partnership development and strategy.Maintaining a strong working relationship with leadership across the Corporate Partnerships team to promote knowledge sharing and cross-functional alignment.Leading special campaigns and projects, as needed.Management responsibilities include planning, assigning, and scheduling work, reviewing work and ensuring high-quality standards, training staff and overseeing their productivity. Additionally, may serve externally with partners and prospects in a leadership and cultivation capacity. May offer recommendations for hiring, pay changes, and termination, but does not have responsibility for making these decisions.All other duties as assigned. We know you will have and be able to Bachelors degree and 7-10 years of experience and expertise in developing comprehensive partnership proposalsExperience and expertise in building sales strategy and the processes to support execution of strategyExperience using data to support thinking and decision making and have a strong analytical mindsetExperience leading thoughtfully yet decisively in an organizational structure with diverse internal and external constituenciesExperience leading others through complex situationsExperience leading others with his/her own perspective, and building trust, confidence and respect among various stakeholders We would love if you also have and are able to An entrepreneurial spirit and focus.Demonstrated success in business development/sales for an organization with significant national recognition.Ability to communicate effectively both oral and written; research, develop, present, and promote projects; work independently; prioritize work and meet deadlines.
