Job Summary
The Senior Project Quality Manager is responsible for leading and managing all quality assurance and quality control activities on a major construction or infrastructure project. This role ensures that all work is executed in compliance with contract documents, regulatory codes, industry standards, and internal quality management systems. As a senior-level leader, the Project Quality Manager Sr. provides technical oversight, mentors QA/QC personnel and serves as the primary point of contact for client quality representatives. This position plays a critical role in ensuring project deliverables meet or exceed required quality standards while driving a proactive culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assign inspection scopes, monitor performance, and support field teams in executing quality control responsibilities.
2. Deliver regular updates to project leadership and corporate quality management on quality status, KPls, and milestones.
3. Ensure alignment of quality practices with project-specific requirements, industry standards (AWS, ACI, AISC, ASME, API, ASTM), and contract obligations.
4. Lead quality-related meetings, site walks, and reviews with owners, contractors, and agencies.
5. Lead the development, implementation, and execution of the Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and related quality control procedures.
6. Maintain complete and auditable quality records, including inspection reports, material certifications, test results, and weld tracking logs.
7. Manage third-party inspectors and testing agencies to verify work quality and material compliance.
8. Oversee all inspection and testing activities, including structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and specialty disciplines.
9. Serve as the primary quality point of contact for the client, regulatory bodies, and project stakeholders.
10. Supervise, train, and develop a team of quality inspectors, engineers, and coordinators on the project.
Minimum Job Requirements:
1. 10+ years of QA/QC experience in construction, heavy civil, or industrial projects, including 3+ years managing project-level quality programs.
2. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent field experience may be considered.
3. Extensive knowledge of codes and standards (e.g., AWS 01 .1, AISC 360, ASME B31.1/B31.3, ICC, API 650/1104, ACI 318, ISO 9001).
4. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
5. Proven ability to lead QA/QC programs on large or complex projects ($1QOM+).
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing quality documentation and reporting.

Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
2. May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis
3. May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.
4. May use telephone, computer system, email, or other electronic devices to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors.
5. Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
6. Occasionally will climb stairs, ladders, etc.
7. Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis.
8. Will interact with people frequently during a shift/workday.
9. Will lift, push or pull objects up to 50Ibs on an occasional basis.
10. Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/workday.
11. Will work various shifts, including swing, night and weekend.
