Description:
Overview Stewart & Stevenson is Now Hiring a Parts Lead at 8631 East Freeway Houston, TX 77029. The Parts Lead provides parts & technical assistance to Parts Counter employees. The Parts Counter Lead provides a high level of service to internal and external customers with expert knowledgeable about parts and accessories and locates parts within current inventory or from other sources.
Responsibilities - Providing expert knowledge in determining parts and product needs for customers.
- Providing oversight and technical support to Parts Counter employees.
- Working closely with warehouse and other staff in retrieving and delivering material purchases to internal and customers.
- Accessing warehouse inventory storage to retrieve, replace, and return parts as required to complete sales.
- Placing purchase orders, as required, to acquire materials needed by customers.
- Monitoring open purchase orders to ensure items are received and billed in a timely manner.
- Maintaining records, files, and internal documents to provide information on customer, dealers, applicable discounts, and contact information.
- Complying with all warehouse rules, regulations, policy, and other requirements while in warehouse area.
- Maintaining a strong, personal commitment to the safety culture.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Expert-level knowledge of parts and supplies.
- Effective problem-solving skills; identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner to best meet customer needs.
- Commitment to a standard of excellence in customer service by responding promptly to customer needs and soliciting customer feedback to improve service.

Education/Experience: - Expert knowledge of parts and inventory software programs and procedures.
- At least 10 years of industry experience.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must maintain Forklift Certification License (Training and Certification provided by employer)
