Overview

Stewart & Stevenson is Now Hiring an Electrical Engineer at 10750 Telge Road Houston, TX 77095. Design electrical systems and components for heavy oilfield equipment, including fracturing units, cementing units, and blending units.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for circuit design engineering, drawing creation, reverse engineering, component selection and managing electrical system and component projects.
  • Oversees and provides guidance on integrating customer-provided control systems into company-designed equipment.
  • Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to designs.
  • Uses SolidWorks and electrical 2D/3D software.
  • Performs extensive testing and validation of designs to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards are achieved.
  • Studies new technologies to innovate and design solutions or products.
  • Employs a working knowledge of both AC and DC electrical systems, including electrical motors and variable frequency drives.
  • Employs a working knowledge of communication and diagnostic bus platforms, such as CAN and J1939.
  • Maintains positive relationships with customers, vendors, and inter- and intra-departmental employees.
  • Performs other duties as required.


Qualifications

Competencies:
  • Knowledge of electrical, electro-hydraulic, and electro-pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to perform engineering and electrical calculations.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and requires multitasking of projects.
  • Must be highly motivated and able to produce quality work in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the creation and improvement of company products.
  • Identify solutions to unique and complex problems.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, preferred.

Minimum of 0-2 years of experience in oilfield, manufacturing, with diesel engines, a plus.
