THE OPPORTUNITY Responsible for administering, coordinating, and continuously improving member engagement and volunteer leadership programs across the organization. This position supports member programs and oversees processes related to committee governance, volunteer recruitment, onboarding, recognition, and progression through volunteer leadership pathways. Working closely with staff across departments, the role helps ensure effective program delivery, strong volunteer stewardship, and a high-quality member experience that fosters engagement, belonging, and community. You bring at least 3-5 years of customer service-related experience, ideally working with members and volunteers. You are a strong, but diplomatic communicator with the ability to provide detailed verbal and written exchange with staff, members and volunteers across the globe. You are able to balance multiple priorities, meet scheduled deadlines, and take ownership of specific operational projects from start to finish. THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE IN THIS ROLE Manage Inbound Inquiries - Oversee volunteer communication via email inbox and webpage, actively reviewing inquiries and providing knowledgeable guidance or accurate departmental redirections.Optimize Volunteer Tracking - Track and maintain up-to-date volunteer, section officer, and committee rosters within the Association Management System (AMS).Interdepartmental Support - Develop and implement a collaborative, multi-departmental approach to map out and fulfill internal volunteer resource pipelines.Marketing Collaboration - Partner with Marketing to promote volunteer opportunities across member-facing channels.Committee Appointments - Coordinate the appointment cycle for ~40 standing committees and subcommittees, managing candidate applications, milestone timelines, and leadership alignment sessions.Board Documentation - Prepare committee documentation, rosters, and consolidated reports for the Board of DirectorsCoordinate Milestone Programs - Coordinate and support membership milestone and recognition programs On-Site Conference Promotion - Attend annual flagship event to champion the volunteer network, network with key stakeholders, and drive on-site volunteer recruitment.
