Operations Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary function of an operations Manager is coordinating and managing all Parts, Shop and Branch activities to ensure Viking operations achieve the Company's sales, customer service, safety, image and profitability goals. You will be managing the day-to-day operations of the company and be accountable for assets, procurement, budgets, profitability and personnel. Develop, communicate, enforce, and monitor effective processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage all Viking operations and provide support and guidance to staff
  • Responsible for the P& L of Branches, Parts, Shop and Transportation lines of business
  • Assist in developing operating and capital budgets
  • Confer with customers as required for problem/solution resolutions and proper supervision of equipment repair and maintenance
  • Conduct performance review and provide feedback to staff
  • Hire, train and motivate staff
  • Meet regularly with team to discuss issues, concerns and updates
  • Continuously monitor department goals, objectives, and policies to assure high-quality service and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to manage and motivate multiple departments to work together towards stated goals and objectives while improving processes within the Company
  • Maintain positive working relationships with staff and company managers as well as all customers
  • Ensure all vendor, customer and department processes are followed
  • Actively promote safety and the enforcement of safety rules and policies, including the proper disposal of hazardous waste or scrap parts and materials

Educational requirements:

  • high school

Desired Skills:

  • High School Diploma; BA/BS degree preferred
  • 5-10 years’ work experience in MHE or industrial sales and service operations and minimum of 5 years’ management preferred
  • Demonstrated effective leadership experience to lead and motivate employees.
  • Verifiable analytical skills and experience in making sound business decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of top managers, employees, executives, clients and customers
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite

Working Conditions: Work indoors and outdoors; exposure to temperatures commensurate with outdoor seasonal temperatures.
