JOB SUMMARY:
The Leader, Commercial Operations is a strategic leadership role responsible for enabling and optimizing the performance of the commercial organization through operational excellence, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional alignment. This position will play a critical role in shaping and executing key initiatives that drive sales effectiveness, enhance customer engagement, and improve financial outcomes. The Director will oversee training, tools, reporting, and process management to ensure commercial teams are aligned, enabled, and equipped to meet business goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive training programs for the sales organization, including onboarding, ongoing skills development, and enablement initiatives to improve sales effectiveness.
- Lead the functional implementation and consolidation of all CRM platforms across business units, ensuring consistency, data integrity, and user adoption across commercial teams.
- Launch and manage standardized commercial reporting processes, collaborating with Finance to deliver accurate, actionable insights that support business planning and performance tracking.
- Own the end-to-end process of annual quota setting and sales incentive design in collaboration with Sales and Finance. Ensure fair, transparent, and motivating commission structures that align with business objectives.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to develop and drive targeted sales campaigns that generate pipeline, accelerate deal velocity, and achieve revenue targets.
- Lead the design, execution, and analysis of customer feedback initiatives, including surveys and Net Promoter Score (NPS) programs, to inform continuous improvement in customer experience and commercial strategy.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 8-12+ years of progressive experience in commercial operations, sales enablement, or business operations roles.
- Proven track record in leading CRM implementations and process standardization initiatives.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in commercial reporting and data visualization.
- Experience managing quota and commission planning across multiple teams and geographies.
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without direct authority.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and change management skills.
- Proficient in Salesforce (or other CRM platforms), Excel, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
