Parts, Service and Rental Rep (PSR)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Parts, Service and Rental Representative (PSR Rep) will be responsible for growing the parts, service and rental sales volume and expand the customer base in their assigned territory by executing business plans, including targeting prospects as well as exceeding annual goals. This is a selling position and requires building customer relationships through partnering on aftermarket services- service agreements, ship in delivery experience, submitting rental orders, generating parts and service orders and supporting consignments. Will work directly with the Parts, Service and Rental Managers to achieve departmental sales goals. Requires professionalism, great attitude, excellent customer service, and the ability to communicate with internal and external customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Serves as an aftermarket manager for existing and prospective customers by managing relationships and ensuring a high level of dealer support for a diverse range of customer types
  • Supports all aspects of the aftermarket sales including parts, service and rental.
  • Conduct daily sales calls by phone and physical visits
  • Identify new business opportunities within current customer list and solicitation of new accounts
  • Generate quotes and estimates on parts, service and rental
  • Assist Accounts Receivable department with collections from customers with past due accounts.
  • Monitor market conditions through customer relationship management
  • Checks with customers to ensure that the delivery date of non-stock items is acceptable before ordering
  • Contact existing and prospective customers to demo products and solicit new business for parts, service and rental
  • Follow up with clients after delivery of equipment to resolve any disputes and provide continuous customer support
  • Coordinate service work with service support staff
  • Regularly update customer records in the CRM database with changes to customers' names, addresses, etc
  • Attends training seminars and local customer events when possible
  • Acts as a public relations liaison for the dealership
  • Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma required; prefer degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years ‘experience in sales and/or industrial equipment experience; 3-5 years' experience in material handling industry preferred
  • Comfortable with all aspects of selling including vendor relationships, P& L concepts and long/short term goals of the company
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office; CRM experience preferred
