We are looking for a talented and passionate Sr. Mechanical Engineer to become part of our team. This role will be within Central Engineering, focusing on Power systems. The chosen candidate will have the responsibility of aiding in the engineering of customized low voltage and medium voltage equipment. The ideal candidate is well-versed in engineering of low voltage and or medium voltage ETO equipment.
What will you do?- Design, develop, and test mechanical systems and components.
- Lead and manage engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
- Perform analysis and simulations to optimize designs.
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Providing technical support to team members.
- Ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Examine all customer-supplied documents, including technical specifications, customer one-liners, and other materials, to develop effective and harmonized solutions provided by Schneider Electric.
- Conducting thorough order reviews as necessary to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications, technical requirements, and company standards. This step helps to identify any potential issues or discrepancies early on in the process.
- Coordinate with plant engineering teams for smoother execution of the projects.
- Coordinate and support all production issues for timely delivery to the customer.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Inventor, Creo).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience in project management is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is desirable.
- Willingness to travel 20% international and domestic.
