Description:

We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Shrink Wrap Team Lead to oversee and support our shrink‑wrapping operations within the Shipping & Receiving department. This role is responsible for ensuring that all pallets, outgoing freight, and customer orders are wrapped accurately, efficiently, and according to company quality standards.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and problem solver with experience in warehouse operations and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate daily activities of the shrink wrap team to meet production and shipping deadlines.
  • Ensure all pallets and materials are shrink‑wrapped safely, correctly, and according to customer and carrier requirements.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate team members to maintain productivity and quality standards.
  • Inspect wrapped pallets for stability, label accuracy, appearance, and compliance.
  • Monitor workflow and assign tasks to balance efficiency and workload.
  • Collaborate with Shipping & Receiving, Inventory Control, and Forklift Operators to prioritize outbound orders.
  • Enforce safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Track daily productivity and report shrink wrap performance, issues, or delays to supervisors/managers.
  • Assist in resolving packaging, material, or equipment issues.
  • Operate shrink wrap machines, heat guns, scissor lifts and other warehouse equipment's as needed.

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of warehouse or logistics experience required.
  • Prior team lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of shrink wrap procedures, pallet configuration, freight preparation especially wrapping oversized items like Boats and aircraft.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a small team in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with RF scanners, WMS systems, and shipping documentation is a plus.
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety‑focused.
