This position will assign, direct, and train security guards regarding their assignments while monitoring and evaluating work performance. This position is responsible for upholding company and department standards and enforcing compliance with patrons and staff at Frost Bank Center and Toyota Field. They will oversee all door/gate screening staff which includes bag checks, walkthrough magnetometers, x-ray machines and hand-held metal detectors. This position will be responsible for overseeing assigned guards to verify event credentials access to restricted areas at Frost Bank Center and Toyota Field.

What You’ll Do:

  • Observe and report all suspicious activity, guest complaints, and emergencies.
  • Respond immediately to potential problems such as fighting, disorderly conduct, excessive use of alcohol, smoking, and abusive language.
  • Conduct event briefings to ensure that assigned guards are prepared for their shift and receive all necessary training and information.
  • Address situations with Even Security Guard I’s when out of alignment with SS& E or department policies.
  • Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by Security Management.

Who You Are:

  • A minimum of 2 years supervisory, management and/or leadership experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the field of security.
  • Ability to achieve and maintain a State Security level II non-commissioned license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of how to operate a walkthrough magnetometer and x-ray machines.
  • Must be able to work long hours, flexible hours including evenings, weekends, overnight and holidays.
  • Must be able to work the minimum of 70% of events each month.
  • Must possess the ability to meet dress standards.
  • Must be able to work at both the Frost Bank Center and Toyota Field for all events assigned.
  • Must maintain the standards set forth in the Frost Bank Center Event Security Policies & Procedures Manual.
  • Able to work outdoor events in hot, cold, wet, or windy conditions throughout the duration of the shift.


Preferred Experience:

  • 1 year of entertainment industry experience.
  • CPR Certification/ Basic First Aid preferred.
  • Knowledge of law enforcement or experience in the entertainment industry, security, military, or law enforcement preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally able to Lift and Carry 25 plus pounds.
  • Occasionally ascend/descend multiple flights of stairs in an arena and outdoor stadium setting throughout the duration of the shift.
  • Constantly be able to stand and/or walk for long periods in extreme conditions for the duration of assigned shift.
  • Occasionally bending and kneeling to complete work.
