We are looking for a part-time AV Technician to join our team! This position is responsible for the game night, in-arena production of San Antonio Spurs, San Antonio FC or other franchise events. This includes set up, configuration, and operation of assorted production equipment and systems: broadcast cameras, production graphics, video replay, video playback, LED graphics playback, production switching, audio PA and microphone set up, and broadcast cable management. The eligible candidate will carry a multitude of qualifications, including but not limited to: understanding of computer desktop operating systems, understanding of live sports production techniques, handling multiple tasks, maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude and have strong organizational and communication skills.


What You’ll Do:

  • Content loading and show operation for one or more of the following systems:
    • Daktronics Show Control and Live Clips
    • Ross XPression graphics
    • Ross Acuity production switcher among others (Tricaster, ATEM, Carbonite, GV Korona)
    • Evertz Dreamcatchers
  • Able to fulfill one or more of the following game night roles:
    • Technical Director
    • CG Operator
    • Replay Operator
    • Video Playback Operator
    • LED Playback Operator
    • Camera Operator
    • Game Night Audio Operator
    • Utility – Live production cable management
  • Set up and tear down of equipment including but not limited to:
    • broadcast quality production cameras
    • portable audio systems and microphones
    • in-arena camera well pedestals
  • Recognize and ensure quality control standards are in place and executed for media and displays. When necessary, notify engineering staff when an inaccuracy is detected. Support the process to bring the inaccuracy to correction and resolution.
  • Provide support for updates and changes in material and presentation.
  • Collaborate and interact with SS& E staff to support fulfilling technology needs for event in a professional manner consistent with SS& E standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree or certificate of specialization in a related technology field of study
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in live audio and video production and maintenance
  • Proven ability to recognize problems and resolve them in a timely manner and fashion
  • Proven ability to handle pressure and function calmly in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adapt, demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy required.
  • Strong teamwork aptitude and customer services skills required.
  • Ability to show proficient in computer skills and basic software and operating systems.
  • The ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks.
  • Continuing education or certifications in the field of technology is preferred.
  • A flexible dedicated work schedule, to include working nights, weekends and holidays is required.
  • This job must be performed 100% on site.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit in a single location for three to four hours.
  • Ability to handle 20-pound handheld camera, while squatting, sitting, standing, walking for up to four hours.
