Position Summary: The Multimedia Specialist is a key member of the creative team, a self-directed professional who brings stories to life through design, visuals, and multimedia production. This role partners with departments and teams across campus to translate ideas into compelling print, digital, and web projects. From concept development to final production, the specialist ensures that every piece of communication not only meets client needs but also reflects and enhances the university's brand. Hiring Range: $66, 000 - $72, 000

Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree required.
- In lieu of education requirement, additional related experience beyond what is required may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Essential Functions: - Responsible for production of graphic design initiatives, photography, videography, motion graphics, presentations, and digital assets.
- Reviews, evaluates, and makes recommendations for new digital assets or the modification of existing assets.
- Provides art direction, design, and production of projects for a variety of internal clients
- Determines how to best represent a concept visually
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
- Follows all projects through to delivery
- Handles vendor selection, bids solicitation, and final ordering on all projects
- Art direct photographers on photo shoots for assigned projects
- Prepares graphic files for print production
- Handles press approvals for quality control
- Keeps current on design trends, emerging technologies, software and issues; shares that information with staff
- Recommends necessary equipment and software to accomplish department goals
- Understands editorial design and appropriate use of design elements such as illustration
- Understands and implements the university brand identity
- Helps maintain brand identity guidelines and assets
- Provides appropriate brand assets to internal and external constituents
- Performs all other duties as assigned
