Perma-Pipe in The Woodlands, TX is hiring an IT Manager - Americas! We're looking for an
IT Manager - Americas to be a part of our growing business. In this role, you will lead the planning, implementation, and oversight of all IT systems, enterprise applications, personnel, and projects across the Americas region (US & Canada). You will ensure that the IT team remains engaged, high-performing, and aligned to deliver operational objectives on time and within budget. The
Americas IT Manager must fulfill their administrative responsibilities and operate in accordance with the Company's Procedures, Policies, HSE Standards and Quality Management System.
The role is situated in The Woodlands, TX with occasional travel. Essential Job Functions - Work with the Director of Information Systems, Global Infrastructure and Business System Managers, and IT Infrastructure Manager to comply with existing standards, and develop new standards, policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance and oversight of Perma-Pipe's Cyber Security systems.
- Participate in internal and external audits as required.
Infrastructure & Operations - Apply IT infrastructure and operations best practices across voice, server, network, and data center systems.
- Monitor systems to ensure the highest level of performance and that key operational metrics are met.
- Coordinate with telecom providers for landlines, internet lines, and mobile services (support, renewals, and issue resolution).
- Oversee and ensure timely response to all Americas service desk activities.
- Will be required to occasionally work outside core office hours to provide IT systems support as required.
Business Systems & ERP - Lead and manage the Americas implementation of the new Infor CSI Syteline Manufacturing ERP system.
- Oversee the management of the company's Americas Business Systems in conjunction with the Global Business Systems Manager.
Project & Vendor Management - Manage and coordinate all Americas IT projects to meet company needs.
- Manage purchasing of all software, hardware, and IT supplies, including vendor relationships.
- Ensure company IT assets are maintained, managed, and tracked.
- Apply strong project management and prioritization skills.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement - Manage subordinate staff in their daily responsibilities.
- Partner with and influence stakeholders to promote simplification, standardization, and innovation.
- Assist with planning budgets and ensuring budgets, goals, and objectives are met.
Qualifications Experience: - At least 10 years of demonstrated IT Operations Management and multi-site support.
- Experience managing business systems, including manufacturing ERP (Infor CSI Syteline desirable).
- Proven ability to lead and manage complex IT projects (ERP project management highly desirable).
- Experience supporting accounting systems and processes, as well as manufacturing and supply chain operations (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay).
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure systems including servers and networks.
- Experience managing and supporting Microsoft O365 systems and Microsoft Azure.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity systems and principles.
- Familiarity with IT governance frameworks, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and related audit requirements.
Required Qualifications :
- Knowledge of manufacturing ERP systems (Infor CSI Syteline ERP desirable).
- Familiarity with Microsoft's M365 environment, utilizing all features and applications.
- Experience designing business processes and leading ERP implementations to improve finance and supply chain operations.
- Database knowledge: MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB.
- Knowledge of reporting and analytics tools, specifically Power BI.
- Strong project management skills.
- IT Service Management knowledge or certification (ITIL desirable).
- Demonstrated leadership and management abilities.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear terms for non-technical employees.
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar or equivalent experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Will lead all IT personnel in the Americas business units (US & Canada).
Reports To: Regional Finance Controller - Americas.
Travel: Will likely travel up to 25% of the time as required between the US and Canada.
