Are you a detail-oriented individual eager to gain hands-on experience in finance? We are looking for a Finance Intern to assist with daily financial operations, including cash deposits, accounts receivable, and collections. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a professional setting while contributing to key financial processes.
Key Responsibilities: - Assist in preparing and processing daily cash and credit card deposits
- Review and post receipts and payments to ledgers, spreadsheets, and internal systems (IFS)
- Investigate and resolve issues related to accounts receivable
- Respond to accounts receivable inquiries and follow up on outstanding items
- Prepare, organize, and distribute invoices, receipts, and financial correspondence
- Monitor accounts receivable to ensure accurate and timely payments
- Support monthly financial close and reporting requirements
Collections: - Coordinate collections efforts and track activity
- Send payment reminder letters to customers with overdue accounts
- Contact customers to discuss overdue payments and review terms of sales or credit agreements
- Notify the Controller and Sales Department of unresolved accounts
- Maintain records of customer financial status and collection activities
- Organize and file relevant financial correspondence
- Prepare account summaries and financial analysis
Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with the team
