Basic Function

The WDSC National Operations Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing the operational performance of the company's WDSC organization across all regions. The National Operations Manager ensures consistent execution of service standards, drives sales growth through operational excellence, and supports the development and training of field and regional teams.Experience
  • A minimum of 5 -10 years of progressive experience in sales operations, field service, or a related industry is required.

Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in the garage door, construction, or building materials industry is strongly preferred.

Education
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience is required.

Required Skills
  • Proven success in market expansion and operational growth strategies.
  • Strong leadership and people development skills with experience managing multi-location or national teams.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business metrics, productivity, and profitability.
  • Proficient with CRM systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to communicate, verbal, and written. Ability to perform basic math calculations (adding and subtracting),

Travel Requirements
  • Travel up to 65% nationally to support regional operations, audits, training sessions, and leadership meetings. Subject to varying road and weather conditions. A valid driver's license is required.

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for all WDSC regions to ensure consistent execution of company goals, customer satisfaction, and profitability targets.
  • Manage, update, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the WDSC organization to ensure alignment and efficiency across all regions.
  • Implement and support technology improvements across the WDSC organization to enhance operational efficiency, data accuracy, and service delivery.
  • Partner with Regional Sales Managers to develop business plans, set performance goals, and monitor results against key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Serve as the primary backfill for Regional Sales Managers during absences, providing oversight and decision-making support.
  • Develop and implement training programs for teams to improve technical skills, customer service, and operational performance.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure cohesive communication and execution of national programs.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to enhance leadership capabilities within the field teams.
  • Analyze market trends and customer feedback to recommend new strategies for service offerings, pricing, and customer retention.
  • Oversee compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
  • Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time at their sole and complete discretion.
