Leadership & Management
Vision & Strategy:
Establishing goals, a vision, and a mission for the maintenance department to align with company objectives.
Delegation:
Effectively assigning tasks and responsibilities to maintenance supervisors and technicians.
Staff Supervision:
Hiring, training, and evaluating maintenance staff and supervisors to ensure high performance.
Operations & Maintenance
Facility Oversight:
Ensuring the smooth and efficient operation and upkeep of buildings, equipment, and infrastructure.
Preventive Maintenance:
Creating and implementing preventive maintenance systems and procedures to minimize breakdowns.
Inspections & Repairs:
Conducting regular inspections of facilities and equipment, and overseeing necessary repairs.
Budget & Resource Management
- Budget Development: Creating and managing the annual maintenance budget to control costs.
- Inventory Control: Monitoring and managing inventory of parts and supplies.
Compliance & Safety
Regulatory Adherence:
Ensuring the organization meets or exceeds standards set by OSHA and other relevant agencies.
Safety Protocols:
Implementing and enforcing safety regulations within the maintenance department.
Collaboration & Planning
Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
Working with other departments and external service providers to address operational needs and projects.
Strategic Planning:
Having a role in planning new building construction or major facility upgrades.
