Maximus is hiring a remote
Child Welfare Title IV-E Specialist. The Child Welfare Title IV-E Specialist will be responsible for reviewing Title IV-E foster care eligibility determination processes, advising on compliance with Title IV-E and other child welfare federal funding requirements, providing Title IV-E and National Youth in Transition Database (NYTD) federal audit support, providing guidance regarding Title IV-E guardianship assistance, and offering training and other technical assistance related to Title IV-E.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with project managers on various initiatives and projects to track progress and provide support as necessary.

- Support leadership in ensuring that the project is delivered to specifications, is on time, and within budget.

- Work closely with management and work groups to create and maintain work plan documents.

- Track the status and due dates of projects.

- Manage relationships with project staff responsible for projects.

- Produce regular weekly and monthly status reports that could include; work plan status, target dates, budget, resource capacity, and other reports as needed.

- Facilitate regular meetings and reviews.

- Adhere to contract requirements and comply with all corporate policies and procedures.

- Review Title IV-E eligibility processes and procedures, provide findings, make recommendations for improvement, and assist with implementation.
- Analyze complex data and identify patterns, recommend actions, and measure outcomes.

- Complete timely and accurate reviews of Title IV-E eligibility case records and data.

- Assist in providing technical assistance related to Title IV-E.
- Assist in complying with a Title IV-E foster care eligibility Program Improvement Plan (PIP) and/or preparing audit files for Title IV-E and other federal audits, including the review of cases, identification of audit risks, and development of audit mitigation strategies.

- Assist with writing reports and other deliverables.

- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in related field.

- 7-10 years of relevant professional experience required.

- Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.

- Must have at least 7 years of experience in child welfare.

- Must have at least 5 years of Title IV-E eligibility-specific experience.

- Experience preparing for child welfare federal audits preferred.

- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time required.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software including Word, Excel, Visio, Project and other computer software applications.

- Experience in performing deadline-oriented work.

- Ability to quickly understand child welfare business processes and systems that support these processes.

- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

- In-depth data and problem analysis skills using industry-standard means and tools.

- Ability to translate data into findings and communicate such to peers, management and clients.

- Experience writing detailed plans and reports and creating project deliverables.

- Ability to lead or work as a key member of a cross-functional team with detail orientation.

- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally to all segments of the population.

Home Office Requirements:

- Internet speed of 20mbps or higher required (you can test this by going to www.speedtest.net).

- Connectivity to the internet via either Wi-Fi or Category 5 or 6 ethernet patch cable to the home router.

- Must currently and permanently reside in the Continental US.
