Responsibilities: From within the South Region business organization, this strategic account director will manage, across all Linde businesses, critical, sophisticated customer relationships and customer strategies up through customer C level. This position will also fill the Linde ExxonMobil global key account interface role. Job Scope: Selected candidate will direct a wide variety of complex customer and internal demands with control of Linde's goals and priorities. The successful candidate will define the elements of a sales strategy within area of responsibility ensuring all Linde stakeholder input is considered. The joint goals are defined in collaboration with customers and Linde senior management and are both short and long-term in nature. The selected candidate will create purpose and vision for own sales area that supports LG US South and the larger Linde goals. They will participate in cross-business/ cross-functional or special project teams. Works closely with business development to allow Linde, with its offerings, to be the solution provider in addressing customer needs. Interact often with Linde senior management and others concerning matters of significance to the business/company. Creates and schedules opportunities for Linde senior management to engage with customer senior management to ensure business alignment. Objective is to grow share of customer wallets through target value propositions that make Linde plc our customers' industrial gas provider of choice. Additional Responsibilities: - Creates and manages sales account strategy that results in the accomplishment of business objectives - Accountable for delivering the assigned area's annual business plan results related to growth, revenue and margin and operating profit - Has a direct role in defining business unit product and sales direction, providing functional guidance and expertise for tactical decisions - Set goals for profitable growth, including reviewing account plans/sales reports with region management and working with product management to maximize profitability. - Monitors the overall sales plans to ensure compliance with long and short term goals and tactics, pricing strategies and renegotiation plans - Validates business opportunities, often across business units and with business development, including identifying business alternatives, in preparation of proposals and in contract negotiation - Manages sales expenses and keeps budget in line with business dictate - Build and maintain business relationships at customer C-suite levels using the Linde organization to strengthen and broaden those relationships. - Capable of negotiating long term, project based, sophisticated agreements - Be willing to represent the customer's interest; demonstrate how customer interest aligns with Linde's internally to allow for Linde to present solutions Qualifications: - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly across all levels of the organization - Strong active listening skills and the ability to think quickly and respond effectively in dynamic situations - Experience in business or project development - 10-15+ years commercial experience - Contracting large on-site or pipeline supply experience. - Must be willing to travel (mostly drive distance) approximately 30% of the time About Linde: Linde is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company with 2025 sales of $34 billion.
