Associate Director, Helium Transfill Ops Locations: The Woodlands, TX, North Royalton, OH, Tampa, FL, Keasbey, NJ, Ontario, CA or East Chicago, IL. Global Helium is seeking an Associate Director of Helium Operations to join our team located in The Woodlands, TX. The Helium Division distributes liquid and gaseous Helium for use in a variety of applications, including electronics, optical fibers, superconducting magnets (MRI/NMR), leak detection, and metal fabrication. Responsibilities The Associate Director of Helium Operations is responsible for, but not limited to, the following: - Lead and motivate a team of plant managers, technicians, drivers, and engineer - Oversee activities at (9) Helium Transfills nationwide - Ensure team is fully trained, committed to, and conduct their activities in accordance with Linde's Safety, Quality, and Operations Policies - Develop/Support Safety initiatives with Global Helium Safety Manager - Manage Capital Expenditures for reliability, continuous improvement, and growth - Responsible for Operations, Distribution, and Environmental Compliance - Drive process improvements, productivity events, and Six Sigma Initiatives - Support customer and ISO Quality audits - Prepare Monthly reports and presentation material as required - Champion Global "Losses" Program (support RBU globally) - Review monthly GL statements to ensure operating within budget - Monitors trends, build teams, and develops procedures for dynamic business - Staff, train, coach, and administer performance reviews, salary increases and corrective action of subordinate employees - Works with independence, conferring with Region and Senior Management on more complex assignments - Coordinate's operations and project work with corporate functions including logistics, engineering, human resources, and finance. - Other duties as assigned Requirements - Bachelor's degree in engineering or other related technical discipline - 3+ years of experience in Operations Management - Demonstrate commitment to Safety, Health, Environment and Quality principles - Leadership and decision-making capabilities to achieve performance results - Ability to analyze data, consolidate findings, and develop presentations to influence business decisions (ie. CapEx, Budget, FTE, Continuous Improvement) - Strong ability to collaborate and build relationships within global business - Ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels in the organization - Previous experience building teams and developing direct reports - Ability to coach and mentor for professional development - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) - Support sales with knowledge of technical applications, customer interfacing - Willing and able to travel up to 50% - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
