Description:

Libbey is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics / Receiving Supervisor to join our Fort Worth, TX Distribution Center. With a focus on logistics, receiving, and distribution operations, this role is pivotal in ensuring the efficiency and safety of our warehouse operations. Candidates with a background in logistics, occupational safety, military service, and a passion for leadership will thrive in this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage a team of associates to ensure accurate receipt and storage of materials.
  • Oversee replenishment of pick locations and resolve material shortages promptly.
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs related to productivity, accuracy, and safety to meet performance goals.
  • Conduct monthly safety meetings, implement corrective actions from inspections, and promote a culture of safety.
  • Implement and maintain Lean practices, including KanBan systems and workplace organization.
  • Supervise returns processes to ensure proper credit allocation and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement cost reduction strategies.
  • Maintain high standards of internal and external customer satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Associate degree preferred; additional certifications in management or safety are a plus.
  • Proven experience in logistics, receiving, and production supervision (minimum of 5 years).
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams effectively.
  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles, workplace organization, and safety standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and act on KPIs.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Forklift Trainer Certification is preferred.
  • Military background or experience with disciplined environments is highly valued.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
