Warehouse Manager

I. JOB DESCRIPTION

Department: Distribution

Location: Durham, NC / Las Vegas, NV / Ft. Worth, TX

Reports to: Director of Distribution

II. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

To supervise all warehouse personnel in receipts, stocking, inventories, order fulfillment and shipments of all LCI Distribution orders.

III. RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK OF OTHERS

Ensure employees have appropriate training and other resources to perform their jobs.

IV. BUSINESS COMMUNICATION

Must be skilled in computer systems, Ability to communicate to a variety of audiences.

V. SUPERVISION REQUIRED

Limited

  1. EDUCATION REQUIRED

High School graduate with a minimum five years warehouse experience. Prefer 2 years college or advanced studies.

  • TRAINING AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

Is forklift certified. Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with employees and Management. Strong computer skills: Competent with Manhattan and Word. Axapta preferred.

VIII. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Proven leadership experience, superior interpersonal skills, ability to develop and motivate team, problem solving abilities, ability to provide and support a vision and direction.

IX. TRAVEL REQUIRED

Some overnight travel required.

  1. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and enforce policy and procedures in for day-to-day operations of receiving, shipping, warehousing and inventory control. Supervising of all warehouse and shipping personnel.
  • Ensure receipt of good on all incoming product into computer systems.
  • Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all orders are processed within 48 hours.
  • Ensure all receipts are received complete in 24 hours
  • Initiate plans to support staff training and morale.
  • Must have strong Microsoft office and PC skills.
  • Works with QA to ensure inventory accuracy standards are above industry standard.
  • Tour level housekeeping standards every day.
  • Help to maintain a safe work environment through safety training and safe work practice.
  • Lead by example.
  • Cross training of all employees is done on each job duty in Distribution Center.
  • Ability to participate in Supervisor rotation for weeknight or Saturdays as needed for LCI Durham location.
  • Ensures staffing does not exceed workload requirements.
  • Orders supplies on a need not want basis.
  • Ensures all facets of accountability are consistent throughout the warehouse and at all levels.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  1. PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in a moderate office environment. The employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk and use hands.

XII. WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When in the Manufacturing area, hearing protection may be required depending on the department.
