Description:

Kroll is seeking a Senior Director - Cyber Advisory to provide strategic leadership across its Cyber Risk and Advisory practice. This role is responsible for leading complex cyber risk engagements, advising senior executives and boards, driving practice growth, and delivering high-impact solutions across cybersecurity strategy, incident readiness, regulatory response, and enterprise risk management.

The Senior Director will serve as a trusted advisor to global clients, partner closely with legal counsel and insurers, and mentor high-performing consulting teams while contributing to Kroll's continued leadership in cyber risk and incident response.

Key Responsibilities

Client Advisory & Engagement Leadership
  • Serve as executive-level advisor to C-suite leaders, boards, general counsel, and risk executives on complex cybersecurity issues.
  • Lead and oversee cyber advisory engagements, including:
    • Cyber risk assessments and maturity programs
    • Incident preparedness and response planning
    • Regulatory and breach advisory support
    • Third-party and supply chain cyber risk
    • Digital forensics and cyber resilience initiatives
  • Manage high-profile, sensitive client engagements while ensuring exceptional service quality and delivery excellence.
  • Translate technical cyber risk into clear, actionable business and regulatory insights.

Incident Response & Regulatory Advisory
  • Provide leadership on cyber incident response advisory, working closely with Kroll's DFIR teams, legal counsel, insurers, and communications advisors.
  • Guide clients through regulatory, legal, and organizational response following cyber incidents.
  • Support breach readiness programs including tabletop exercises, crisis simulations, and executive preparedness.

Business Development & Practice Growth
  • Contribute to practice growth strategy, including new service offerings and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Support revenue growth through:
    • Client relationship expansion
    • Proposal development and pursuit leadership
    • Cross-selling with Kroll's broader risk, investigations, and valuation practices
  • Build trusted relationships with law firms, insurers, brokers, and strategic partners.

People Leadership & Mentorship
  • Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary consulting teams, including Directors, Managers, and Senior Consultants.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development.
  • Support talent recruiting, performance management, and succession planning.

Thought Leadership & Market Presence
  • Serve as a recognized thought leader in cyber risk and advisory services.
  • Contribute to webinars, white papers, conferences, and client-facing presentations.
  • Represent Kroll in industry forums and client events.


Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred (e.g., MBA, MS, JD).
  • 12+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cyber risk, incident response, or advisory consulting.
  • Prior experience in professional services or advisory environments (Big 4, cyber advisory firms, law firm advisory groups, or incident response providers).
  • Demonstrated experience advising senior executives and boards.
  • Strong background in cybersecurity domains such as:
    • Incident response and breach management
    • Cyber risk assessments and strategy
    • Privacy and regulatory compliance
    • Enterprise risk management

Preferred Credentials
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, GCFA, or similar.
  • Experience working with legal counsel, insurers, and regulators during cyber incidents.
  • Proven ability to drive revenue, manage P& L responsibilities, or grow advisory practices.
