The Managing Consultant is part of a highly collaborative team with the responsibility for building strong partnerships with [Market] consultant candidates and clients through new and existing business development.
As aManaging Consultant in Korn Ferry's Interim HR consulting practice, you will have a significant impact on the lives of our consultants and clients by connecting therightpeople to therightwork. You will do this by building deep, meaningful relationships with senior HR and business leaders. You will leverage your experience to act as a trusted advisor, help clients solve complex problems and align meaningful work that expands our consultant's careers. The role is that of a trusted advisor to our clients whilst contributing to Korn Ferry International's integrated solutions sales strategy. This role offers a lucrative opportunity directly tied to personal financial growth while working within a collaborative, dynamic team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Member of the Korn Ferry team focused on growing the Interim HR Talent Practice. Responsible for building and managing a book of business.
- Drive business development efforts that align with the vision and overall objectives of the firm.
- Work with client hiring managers to scope interim and project needs by obtaining information that clearly defines the specifics of the engagement including the responsibilities, requirements, , company culture, etc.
- Develop, drive and manage strong business relationships with clients to ensure successful placements and guarantee customer satisfaction.
- Drive new business with existing clients and prospects by developing relationships with Korn Ferry business unit partners and working with them to enhance business with key client accounts.
- Interview, source and represent current and prospective consultants in opportunities that will enhance their career objectives
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with candidates by providing superior candidate care, including clearly defining engagement requirements, providing timely updates on progress, conducting interview preparation and debriefing.
- Work closely with Project Coordinator to ensure candidate/client interviews are scheduled and confirmed in a timely manner, that there is candidate database/system compliance, and that all engagement related correspondence is sent to candidates.
- Responsible for identifying and leveraging new consultant candidate sourcing avenues.
- Provide project updates to management, client contacts and stakeholders and escalate issues promptly.
- Responsible for consistently meeting and exceeding sales goals and objectives for Korn Ferry.
- Leverage project oriented, analytical thinking and open mindset to communicate new ideas and strategies
- Effectively work in a team-oriented environment while acting in an independent, leadership capacity
- Collaborate as a team with Business Development Directors to create brand awareness and growth
- Join professional networking organizations to represent Korn Ferry in the community and leverage strong ability to connect with professionals
- Exude leadership and professionalism at all times and in all situations
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS- 10+ years of business experience and a minimum of 8 years of experience in Human Resources, HR related field/industry, or as business development manager to include cold calling, developing search strategies and client/candidate management; or relevant industry experience
- A proven track record in leadership, sales and recruiting in the local marketplace is a plus
- Strong business acumen and ability to quickly learn about different business environments and cultures by asking the right questions.
- Consultative mindset and ability to anticipate client needs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees of all levels within the organization, as well as with clients and the public; become a representative and face of Korn Ferry
- Exceptional customer service focus, including attention to producing quality results.
- Ability to multi-task and manage various recruitment projects simultaneously.
- Self-initiative along with the ability to respond quickly to client requests.
- Ability to be an effective team member and, as needed, to handle project leadership responsibility. Ability to work with a dynamic team of seasoned professionals in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and incorporating fun into the team culture
- Willing and able to adapt to new processes and effectively deal with change.
- PC proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel and Outlook.
EDUCATION- Bachelor's degree preferred.
