Position Description

Position Summary:
The ROW Analyst, Business Processes will be essential to advancing Right of Way's efficiency projects by establishing clear processes, improving IT alignment, and driving automation that reduces manual workload. This role reports directly to the ROW Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Define, document, and standardize business processes to improve efficiency, reduce variability, and support ongoing improvements.
  • Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into clear, validated documentation that serves as the foundation for IT development and process changes.
  • Develop workflow diagrams, mockups, and supporting materials to communicate expectations and guide technical teams.
  • Coordinate and support user acceptance testing (UAT) by developing test cases, tracking issues, and validating successful delivery.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between ROW and IT, ensuring strong alignment, clear communication, and effective prioritization of enhancements or system changes.
  • Identify automation and efficiency opportunities that reduce manual workload and free staff for strategic tasks.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by monitoring processes, identifying pain points, and recommending enhancements.

Position Requirements

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in business analysis, process documentation, or workflow design (internship or early-career experience welcomed for non-senior level).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear process maps, requirements, and functional specifications.
Skills:
  • Familiarity with business process modeling tools (e.g., Visio)
  • Experience supporting IT development teams or participating in UAT.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
Additional Information:
  • The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.
