Kinder Morgan, Inc. is hiring a Operations Clerk in Pasadena, TX. This is a full-time position, and requiring a high school.
What We Are Looking For
Provide internal support services to all employees and direct support of the Maintenance team. Perform various clerical, administrative and general office duties involving report writing, word processing, invoice coding and tracking, file and records management, budgetary tracking, and telephone and reception desk duties. Perform analysis of statements, invoices and prepare spreadsheets and reports as requested.

What You Will Do
- Work with the management team to process documents for employees.
- Maintain and update manuals, spreadsheets and databases, as necessary.
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations.
- Prepare billing and revenue related journal entries.
- Coordinate revenue forecast and budget data.
- Coordinating and maintaining of Maximo CMMS program including pre use checklists, meter readings, and work pending items.
- Schedule preventative maintenance and any necessary repairs needed with mechanics in accordance with Maximo scheduling.
- Create, get proper approvals, and maintain purchase orders and AFE's in accordance with KM standards.
- Full fill any other job tasks as needed per the terminal management.
- Track and record USPS, UPS, FEDEX, Freight delivery for all packages sent and received.
- Be able to accommodate a wide variety of people and personalities with tact, courtesy and professionalism.
- Work independently to manage tasks and timelines.
- Knowledge of accounting/budgeting.
- May be required to work non-traditional hours as needed.
- Comply with all KMT policies and procedure.
- Mail pickup and delivery via USPS, inter-office and Federal Express; open all departmental mail and deliver to appropriate parties.
- Order and maintain office supplies and stationery for department.
- Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills.
- Write effectively, and understand verbal and written communications, including but not limited to email
- Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance.
- Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
- Have a general understanding of how corporate policies, procedures, practices and processes relate to the material handling business segment, associated business units, and internal and external customers.
- Other daily, weekly, and monthly duties, and special projects, as assigned.
What You Need
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Two or four year degree with any discipline from accredited college or university OR
- Honorable discharge US military, any branch OR
- Two years related experience OR
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 2 years direct work experience in an accounting-related position, specifically experience in an automated, multi-entity financial system.
- Have previous experience in maintenance tracking programs.
- Good organizational, communication and PC skills.
- Individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Explorer, Microsoft Outlook, Accounting and payroll systems, Excel spreadsheet software, Microsoft Office, Microsoft PowerPoint and experience with charts and graphs.
- Must possess customer service skills; being cordial while interacting with customers.
- Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's driver's license and have the willingness to use personal and/or company vehicle in the course of employment.
- Must possess safety training/certification as required by customers to work in their facility and as required by Kinder Morgan at all locations.
- If required must obtain and/or meet all requirements to enter foreign trade zones; such as back ground checks by both the U.S. Coast Guard and the Department of Homeland Security i.e. obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Card, TWIC
- Proficient PC Skills; MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and other Office Suite general products.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including but not limited to the ability to present ideas, proposals and results to business segment leaders and to internal and external customer.
- Strong typing, reading, listening, administrative skills and logical thought processes with the ability to identify and resolve simple to complex issues/problems.
- Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), prioritize work schedules, focus attention on details, follow work rules and meet deadlines.
- Ability to organize and prioritize daily work, including tracking and managing large projects, and see projects to completion while maintaining strict confidentiality (as necessary)
- Ability to efficiently present information in a one on one setting and in small groups situations to customer, clients and other employees.
- Ability to successfully perform the required and expected duties with minimal direct supervision.
- Must be able to successfully and simultaneously manage multiple tasks.
- Able to deal effectively with customers, vendors, and employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to keep detailed records, manipulate data accurately, maintain financial information.
- Ability to maintain regular, dependable attendance.
- Experience in developing, implementing and successfully managing budgets.
- Ability to identify and establish expectations in an employee/employer relationship (subordinate/manager).
- Solid leadership, communication, motivation and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage projects(s) that will include working with individuals with varying disciplines, backgrounds and experience levels.
