The successful candidate will be required to lead support functions across the Pipeline Management organization as it relates to:
  • Compliance with federal and state regulations pertaining to Gas Control
  • Compliance with company O& M procedures
  • Data analysis and application development/maintenance for continuous improvement in pipeline operations
  • Annual budget development and tracking
Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Develop and lead the Pipeline Management compliance program ensuring Federal and state Control Room Management compliance
  • Participation in federal and state audits representing Pipeline Management
  • Lead contact with Kinder Morgan's Compliance Officer
  • Facilitate departmental compliance with company O& M procedures
  • Lead regular training sessions to ensure consistency across Pipeline Management as it pertains to compliance
  • Assist with development and support technical systems used by various departments within Pipeline Management including SCADA, spreadsheets, DART
  • Provide coordination between Field Ops and Gas Control as it relates to shared applications
  • Participate and represent Kinder Morgan in INGAA and other industry activities
  • Assist with developing and maintaining emergency procedures
  • Pipeline Management coordinator for annual budgetary process
  • Maintain database of facilities and key asset information and assist in the preparation of corporate regulatory filings and various corporate presentations
  • Direct the development of requirements and implementation of new software to support Pipeline management's operational and compliance needs.

  • Oversee departmental processes and employee development ensuring fairness and consistency
  • Establish and communicate standards of behavior and compliance within the department

Position Requirements

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
  • 8-10+ years of relevant industry experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Leadership or supervisory experience at the Manager level or comparable role, with responsibility for leading and developing multiple employees
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership abilities
  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements related to Gas Control, or the ability to quickly learn and apply them
  • Experience with or exposure to the annual KM budgeting process
  • Familiarity with Operations & Maintenance (O& M) procedures
  • Understanding of interstate and intrastate pipeline assets and operations, or related energy infrastructure

  • Role is primarily office-based and requires the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
