This position is within KM's Transportation and Storage Services Department, reporting to the Manager-Business Processes. The Business Process Management Department includes responsibility for ensuring the Direct Access Request Tracking (DART) computer system is a reliable, stable, accurate and compliant system by establishing and implementing quality control steps focusing on system changes and events (both planned and unplanned). The DART system is the customer-facing system used for transportation and storage services across all KM Interstate pipelines, Midstream assets, CO2 business, and unique services. This individual serves as a liaison between the Information Technology (IT) development group and the business units and is responsible for the management of projects that include the analysis of complex business problems, development of user requirements, and implementation of cost-effective alternatives/system enhancements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Manage business user requests for changes and enhancements to the DART system.
- Ensure all system changes and solutions comply with various North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB) standards, FERC gas tariffs, and applicable FERC regulations
- Coordinate the development and implementation of business user requests, ensuring efficiency, broad communication, and consensus among impacted stakeholders.
- Ensure business users and IT teams follow established business processes for requesting, defining, testing, and implementing all system modifications, enhancements, and capital projects.
- Identify and promote process improvements and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular/periodic meetings with business users, IT, and other stakeholders to establish priorities, share issues, and track progress/status against established project deadlines.
- Analyze and fully understand complex change requests, evaluate impacts, and resolve competing priorities.
- Work to minimize the overall number of change requests when at all possible.
- Perform assigned daily, weekly, and monthly duties, and manage special projects as required.
Position Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree and bring a minimum of 5 years of gas industry experience preferred (or demonstrate equivalent experience in lieu of a degree).
- Manage multiple short and long-term projects with varying deadlines across diverse functional areas.
- Facilitate and align priorities among diverse business users to ensure timely project delivery.
- Possess Project Management skills (highly preferred).
- Exhibit strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
- Deliver high-quality work with strong attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate strong presentation and interpersonal skills to build relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Collaborate in a team environment while providing effective leadership.
- Translate business user requirements into clear, actionable IT development or coding specifications.
- Apply advanced analytical and critical thinking skills to assess complex business problems and develop effective solutions.
- Demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly to evolving requirements, shifting timelines, and changing priorities while maintaining productivity and focus.
- Lead comprehensive business mapping efforts, producing detailed end-to-end workflows and high-quality use case scenarios that support system design and implementation.
- Learn and adopt emerging technologies, including Power BI and Robotic Process Automation tools.
- Have experience with the DART system or similar transactional systems (a plus).
