Job TypeThis position is full-time shift work led by a Supervisor/Lead Mechanic
Job Summary: This position is responsible for the mechanical servicing and upkeep of all equipment utilized by the Company. Duties include performing complex scheduled and non-routine preventative maintenance, troubleshooting problems and performing necessary repairs according to company operating procedures in a safe manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Performs diagnosis for problems on various types of well service equipment based on reports from the field, using the appropriate diagnostic tests and interpreting the results.
- Performs required repairs based on troubleshooting mechanical equipment.
- Performs complex or non-routine scheduled maintenance or difficult repair work including overhauling engines and transmissions.
- Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, belts, conveyors, fans, air conditioners, etc.
- Disassemble machines and repairs or replaces broken parts, cleans and lubricates parts.
- Checks mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble, adjusting functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.
- Inspects completed repairs or maintenance work by less experienced mechanics.
- Maintains and places orders for materials and/or parts needed for repair or replacement.
- May perform preventive maintenance inspection, including DOT annual inspections.
- May work in the shop or in the field depending on work assignments or work location.
- May be assigned to work in rig operation in accordance to company rig operating procedures and receive other specialized training about Hazard conditions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Wears proper safety equipment on the job (when applicable)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Five (5) years or more of work experience as a mechanic or a similar capacity.
- Strong knowledge and skills in well service equipment/vehicle repair or preventive maintenance.
- Must be skillful in rebuilding, inspecting and repairing equipment, including hydraulic, electrical and overhauling engines and transmissions.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to demonstrate safe work habits and work well with others.
- Ability to train or direct the work of others.
- Must pass post-employment drug/alcohol urinalysis.
- Must pass post-offer "Essential Job Functions Test."
- Must pass DOT drug test and physical by state and federal government DOT, if required.
Education Requirements: High school diploma, GED, or the equivalent is preferred.
