As a Transaction Specialist IV within Disbursement Operations, you'll manage a portfolio of commercial client accounts and perform critical reconciliation and exception-processing activities that support the accurate movement of funds. You'll balance account activity, research payment discrepancies, resolve check exceptions, and prepare reports that help clients reconcile their accounts. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment. You'll partner closely with internal teams and offshore support groups to resolve inquiries, maintain operational accuracy, and deliver exceptional client service.
Job Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of client accounts and perform daily reconciliation activities with a focus on accuracy and risk management.
- Review, process, and resolve check payment exceptions using reconciliation and transaction processing systems.
- Balance outstanding check activity and research discrepancies to ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare monthly and ad hoc financial reports to support client reconciliation requirements.
- Investigate and resolve transaction-related issues by analyzing account activity and payment data.
- Process transactions across multiple systems while maintaining established quality and productivity standards.
- Respond to client inquiries and Navigator cases within established service levels.
- Partner with offshore operations teams to research and resolve account and transaction questions.
- Verify and validate transaction data from a variety of sources to ensure accurate processing.
- Participate in process improvement discussions, training activities, and team meetings.
- Support overtime and additional workload requirements during peak processing periods and month-end activities.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills- Experience in banking operations, reconciliation, transaction processing, or a related financial operations environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve discrepancies.
- Experience balancing accounts and managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to operational accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage a portfolio of accounts and meet established service level requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and offshore partners.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Flexibility to support additional workload during peak-volume periods.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills - Experience supporting account reconciliation or exception-processing functions.
- Understanding of check payment processing and disbursement operations.
- Experience preparing financial or reconciliation-related reporting.
- Knowledge of Positive Pay or treasury service operations.
- Advanced Excel skills for reporting and data analysis.
- Experience supporting more than one CCB/CIB/CB Function/Line of Business
Training Work schedule: Monday - Friday 9: 00 am - 5: 30 pm
Normal Work schedule: Monday - Friday 7: 30 am - 4: 00 pm
