Client Billing Operations (CBO) - Inquiry Management Associate II

Job Summary: As a Security Services Billing Operations Associate II in Billing Operations, you will provide proactive, consultative services to our internal stakeholders and clients with end-to-end ownership of client inquiry resolution. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and other Billing Operations sub-teams to ensure timely resolution of billing inquiries and impact analysis.
The Global Billing Inquiry Management team manages receipt of inquiries, root cause analysis of potential invoicing errors, and coordinates with key stakeholders for reporting and resolution of identified issues. In this role, you will partner with various internal teams, including Client Service, Sales / Relationship Management, Product Management, Pricing, Financial Controllers, Compliance, Risk Management and Controls.
Job Responsibilities: - Manage timeliness and accuracy of inquiries received by the Inquiry Management team, ensuring individual work queue is appropriately managed at the highest level through the delivery and follow-up of inquiries and management of multiple deadlines
- Perform deep dive issue analysis, identifying root cause / financial impact and collaborating with key stakeholders to identify appropriate resolution for the client and Firm
- Be a proactive and responsive communicator, maintaining frequent contact with clients and business partners, actively listening to understand needs, and taking ownership of incoming and outgoing messages
- Be a trusted partner to the business and clients by providing exceptional service and taking ownership of requirements, seek input from peers and partners as needed
- Understand and anticipate client/business partner needs and proactively deliver solutions with the ability to tailor verbal and written communication to different audiences
- Display a process improvement and change management mindset, questioning conventional / established methods and driving change to improve processes
- Be proactive with control and risk management, addressing gaps in processes and escalating issues to benefit the business and clients.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills: - Proactive critical thinker with 3+ years operational experience
- Self-motivated and thinks independently with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate clients' future needs and collaborate on innovative solutions
- Proficient in analyzing large data sets with advanced Excel skills, including but not limited to pivot tables and nested formulas. Capable of understanding complex accounting methodologies and applying them to manual calculations
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced global environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Strong team collaboration skills, with the ability to adapt to dynamic environments and work effectively across teams
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills: - Knowledgeable of Commercial & Investment Bank back-office operations and processes
- Previous experience in securities operations, brokerage and/or custody operations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solutions management skills
- Strategic and results-driven thinker with a forward-thinking mindset and the ability to address future-state requirements
- Comfortable interacting with senior management in a global environment
- Proven ability to build cross-functional partnerships and serve as a subject matter expect in key areas
