Description:

Duties: Design and architect robust, scalable, and efficient software solutions to meet business requirements. Review code and provide constructive feedback to junior developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines. Contribute to the high-level technical design based on functional specifications and create low level design specifications. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance, reliability, and maintainability of production applications. Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software engineering, and recommend adoption where appropriate. Establish and maintain effective processes and workflows for software development, deployment, and monitoring. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production environments, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, quality assurance, and infrastructure to deliver high quality software solutions on time. Act as a strategic advisor to senior management, providing insights and recommendations on technology strategies, resource allocation, and organizational goal. Mentor junior team members, review their work, and provide technical expertise.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Security Engineer, Application Developer, Application Development Specialist, IT Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Security Engineer, Application Developer, Application Development Specialist, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Java and J2EE technologies with Spring and Springboot architecture to create Java based microservices; Design patterns to develop robust application with performance, scalability, availability, and reliability; Microsoft Visio; Agile methodology; JIRA and Confluence for application tracking and documentation; SQL database including Oracle; High-volume transactional system with low latency and high throughput using caching technologies such as Redis; Python and Unix scripting to automate tasks, save time and accuracy; Frontend technologies including Angular 4/5, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML and XML for creating User Interface; Data formats including JSON and CSV to transform structured and unstructured data.
