As a PCI Compliance and Data Compromise Operations Associate within the Global Card Operations organization, you will be responsible for monitoring, educating, and supporting internal and external stakeholders on Card Brand requirements related to proactive security validations. You will stay current on industry security trends and evolving technology to help ensure controls and processes remain aligned with changing expectations. You will also facilitate clear, timely communications during data compromise events and serve as a primary liaison between merchants and Card Brands to drive effective coordination and prompt resolution of security incidents. Success in this role requires exceptional organization, strong client presence, and demonstrated problem-solving and leadership skills.
Job responsibilities- Continuously track and interpret Card Brand (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover, etc.) requirements for proactive security validations, ensuring organizational compliance and timely updates to stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver educational materials, training sessions, and guidance to merchants and internal teams regarding Card Brand security requirements and best practices for PCI DSS compliance.
- Research, learn, and effectively communicate emerging security trends, threats, and technology updates relevant to payment card industry (PCI) compliance.
- Serve as the primary facilitator for calls and communications during data compromise events, ensuring all parties are informed, coordinated, and following established protocols.
- Act as a liaison between merchants and Card Brands, translating technical and compliance requirements into actionable steps and ensuring clear, concise, and timely communication.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, incident responses, and communications with Card Brands and merchants. Prepare reports and summaries as needed.
- Identify opportunities to enhance compliance processes, incident response protocols, and educational materials based on feedback and evolving industry standards.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills- Previous experience with Merchant Services, Payments, and/or card networks is essential.
- Must have client-facing and external partner-facing experience.
- Project management skills
- Ability to identify common areas of risk and compliance vulnerability and escalate as appropriate.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including navigating difficult situations, negotiating timelines, and influencing internal and external stakeholders across organizations and borders.
- Strong sense of initiative, independence, and ability to prioritize multiple complex situations to deliver successful results.
- Proficient Microsoft Suite of applications, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint and capable of developing high-quality presentations.
- Contribute to a business climate and culture that encourages integrity, respect, excellence, and innovation.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills- Qualifications in a relevant discipline, PCI Professional (PCIP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar industry certifications are a plus.
