DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Execute creative software solutions using modern technology stack in the cloud. Design, develop, and troubleshoot to build solutions or break down technical problems. Develop secure and high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others. Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems. Lead evaluation sessions with other internal teams to drive outcome-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Software Engineer, Software Engineer, Software/Application Developer, Java Developer, Systems Engineer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: consumer groups, partitioning, and performance in Kafka; Linux processes including navigating shells and writing shell scripts; working on an Agile Scrum team using Agile SDLC; Cloud Application Architecture; Cloud Infrastructure Architecture; designing and implementing services that adhere to microservices design principles; designing and implementing event driven, distributed systems, with high resiliency and performance; building size optimized images in Docker; Spring IOC pattern; Spring Boot; Hibernate; Java 17+; implementing basic NodeJS; Python syntax; writing complex statements in SQL; Postgres; XML; Apache Tomcat; Maven; JSON; deploying and operating containerized applications with high resiliency and efficiency in Kubernetes; AWS Cloud Services capabilities and how to implement them; at least one of the following Observability tools and applying them to optimize performance: Dynatrace or Datadog; Splunk; GIT; Application Testing including Cucumber framework, writing Junit tests, and Functional Testing; Performance Testing, and Component Testing; financial services industry.
