As a Cryptographic Security Controls Product Director within Cybersecurity and Technology Controls at JPMorgan Chase, you will work with the product team to set the strategic vision for the products and collaborate with partners, stakeholders, and customers to define and refine product roadmaps. You will work with Engineering to ensure that technology solutions align with business goals and requirements. You will also develop new ideas through interactions with customers, key stakeholders and Product Line partners. You should be prepared to make informed decisions with imperfect information and lead with influence across the organization. Finally, you must possess a unique blend of business and technical expertise, with a big-picture vision and the drive to turn that vision into reality. This role requires a proactive leader who can navigate complex environments, inspire teams, lead at scale and drive product success. You must also enjoy spending time in the industry to understand industry problems and finding innovative solutions for the broader market and our lines of business.
Job Responsibilities: - Ability to lead at scale, i.e. leading, implementing, and evolving the Cryptographic Controls Security products.
- Lead a team of Product Managers and Product Delivery Managers in developing product vision, strategy, multi-year roadmaps, execution plans and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and collaborate with product line stakeholders to deliver governance, policies, risk management, and controls for Cryptography Controls to ensure the consistent and automated delivery of security policies and governance.
- Own product performance and strategically invest in enhancements to achieve measurable business objectives.
- Maintain transparency of the Product Portfolio by providing continuously updated product summaries for customers and stakeholders to consume.
- Understand the total cost of ownership (TCO) for the products within your domain. Manage the revenue recovery and expenses of the product. Always striving to strike the optimal balance between features, stability, risk, and cost efficiencies.
- Coach and mentor the product team on best practices, including prioritization, stakeholder management, product adoption, go-to-market strategies, and product delivery, to effectively achieve objectives (OKRs).
- Assist with the designand oversee the implementation of complex product systems and solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and requirements.
- Work with Controls/Risk, Audit, Compliance, and Engineering teams to achieve the product vision and provide real-time insights and comprehensive reporting to support Enterprise Product Security (EPS) and Stakeholder Product Leadership teams.
- Implement and manage a rolling roadmap to ensure continuous alignment with strategic goals.
- Thrive in a team environment with good interpersonal skills by collaborating and building relationships with engineers, development teams, architects, operations partners, and customers
- Manage vendor engagements in data security space with support from architects and engineering leads
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills: - At least 5 years of product management experience, particularly in Key Management, Encryption, Tokenization, or related applied cryptography fields.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrate top-down executive leadership skills. Ability to harness the power of dynamic teams and successfully manage people leadership, talent/performance development and coaching duties with experience in developing and executing product strategies and roadmaps.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to negotiate compromise and demonstrate diplomacy in sensitive situations, speak in front of large senior groups and to interact effectively with peers and management across diverse cultures.
- Experienced in designing and implementing cloud services (e.g., IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, etc.) offered from public cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.) with deep understanding of encryption at Rest, in Transit, and at Runtime
- Experience with complex Hardware Security Module (HSM) for Key Management and/or other HSM based systems, Payment HSMs and PCI (Payment Card Industry) Compliance.
- Familiarity with recent Data Protection and Encryption trends
- Demonstrated use of qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making.
- Ability to provide direction and guidance on business use cases and requirements for Data Security solutions.
- Usage of best practice agile scrum development and lean principles.
- Experienced in the end-to-end information technology (IT) processes, including architecture, design & engineering, implementation, and operations
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills: - Master's degree or MBA can be advantageous.
- Experience with enterprise-scale software development is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to negotiate compromise and demonstrate diplomacy in sensitive situations and to interact effectively with peers and management across diverse cultures.
- Curious and comfortable holding professional conversations with our target users.
- Excellent writer and public speaker in front of large, senior groups, and able to cater messaging to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties.
- Cloud security certifications (vendor specific) (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) preferred
