Description:

As a Data Solutions Analyst / Associate, you will focus on enhancing and supporting the function's reporting and analytics capabilities by developing solutions to complex data problems in Business Objects and Microsoft applications.

This team plays a key part in developing solutions to complex data problems and supporting leadership in analyzing data to tell the story to senior clients. This role will focus on development of key compensation reports and delivery to users in the HR organization from end to end. The end to end process includes gathering business requirements across all lines of business, developing creative solutions to drive Firmwide consistency while meeting client needs, creating reports in Business Objects, and finally delivering and presenting the product to the users.

Job responsibilities
  • Simplify and standardize reporting and analytics processes across compensation, while meeting unique business needs across the Firm
  • Create and automate high impact, client-ready reports and analysis in Business Objects that lead to actionable business insights
  • Develop and implement strategy for user-friendly self-service capabilities for compensation and HR partners to access suite of reports, including key reporting needs to facilitate the year-end process
  • Provide ad-hoc analytics and presentations to support senior management in making strategic key business decisions around comp differentiation, talent retention, and potential gaps
  • Lead multiple projects end to end - maintain project plans, update and influence key stakeholders, and implement change management strategies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across functions at all levels - including understanding and incorporating business needs from compensation managers and HR partners and providing recommendations and presenting the story to compensation leadership team

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Strong analytical and data / information management skills with a Bachelor's Degree or comparable work experience
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft applications: Advanced understanding of Excel is required
  • Self-initiator, ability to challenge status quo and think outside of the box
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity
  • Detail and results oriented with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities all within a fast paced team environment
  • Strong project management, analytical, and technical skills
  • Strong consulting, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Innovation and creativity to bring new ideas to team

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Ideally 2+ years of Compensation or Finance experience
  • Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Business Objects
  • Great with presentations and making the key points come alive
