For a Site Senior Engineering Manager for the San Angelo, TX medical device manufacturing site. This role leads the local Engineering organization and plays a key role as a member of the site's leadership team and Global Technical Operations organization.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team in the development and implementation of cutting-edge medical device packaging and sterilization technology. This role will be a member of the site leadership team and a key member of the Global Technical Operations group. You will oversee engineering projects from concept to production, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the team. Experience in packaging technology is considered a significant advantage for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, promoting professional growth and collaboration.
  • Develop a manufacturing technology roadmap that aligns with business requirements. Oversee roadmap timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Manage a team of engineers in the design, development, and testing of manufacturing technology, ensuring they meet standards and requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R& D, regulatory, quality assurance, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Establish engineering processes and standards to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes affecting the medical device sector.
  • Prepare and present status updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Serve as a member of the Global Technical Operations group, contributing to the strategic direction and technical excellence across Med Tech Surgery manufacturing network.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, or a related field).
  • 6+ years of experience in engineering management within the medical device or healthcare industry.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards (FDA, ISO) related to medical devices is preferred.
  • Proven experience in project management, with proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of packaging and sterilization technology is an advantage
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to innovation.
