Summary of Position

The Project Management Intern will play an integral role within the Business Unit Team, supporting a range of process improvement, cross-functional engagement, and project management activities.

Intern Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in evaluating the current Sizing & Complexity Assessment Tool (S& CAT) process used for both pre- and post-risk assessments.
  • Identify discrepancies between the global S& CAT framework and the specific requirements of the Intelligence Infrastructure division.
  • Document existing workflows, dependencies, and risk assessment criteria across various products and customers.
  • Collaborate with teams from Operations, Sales, Quality, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Program Management, and Finance to collect insights and requirements.
  • Synthesize stakeholder feedback into well-structured recommendations for Business Unit and divisional leadership
  • Support the development of project plans, timelines, and key milestones for the S& CAT enhancement initiative.
  • Monitor project progress, risks, and issues, ensuring effective communication between the Business Unit team and functional partners.
  • Assist with preparing status updates, presentations, and decision-support materials for leadership reviews.
  • Work closely with the Business Unit team on initiatives aimed at improving operations related to product complexity, readiness, risk management, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for strategic projects driven by the Business Unit as needed.

Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of project management methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid models.
  • Ability to create and manage project plans, timelines, and milestones.
  • Experience with process mapping and workflow documentation using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or Miro.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and operational process improvement.
  • Skills in requirements gathering and conducting stakeholder interviews.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing operations or product lifecycle is a plus, but not mandatory
  • Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools is considered an asset.
  • Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish is desired.

  • Class Year(s): Rising Junior, Rising Senior
  • GPA: Min 3.0
  • Availability: Must be available to work onsite in Austin, TX and Potential Travels to Guadalajara Mexico from May 18, 2026– Aug 7, 2026
