Our INVISTA Orange, TX facility is seeking entrepreneurial innovative leaders to join the team the Quality Lab team as a Quality Laboratory Technician.

We are looking for individuals who can produce accurate, high-quality work in a time-sensitive, fast-paced environment with strong communication skills and proven success in communicating effectively. A successful candidate would need to have the ability to organize, prioritize, and own multiple tasks while meeting and/or exceeding deadlines, show strong initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team. What You Will Do
  • Chemical analysis, including, but not limited to titrations, distillations, wet chemistry, GC, UV-Vis, XRF, and TOC.
  • Document and communicate issues regarding quality, instrument, production, or supply.
  • Maintain strict adherence to applicable RCRA laws.
  • Maintain knowledge of plant processes, general chemistry, and theory of lab analysis.
  • Use LIMS to communicate results and manage data.
  • Required to work a 12-hour rotating shift (includes weekends and holidays) and overtime as required by the business and must be clean-shaven at all times.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • One (1) + years of work experience in an analytical laboratory
  • Experience using Microsoft Word such as creating, editing, and formatting documents, preparing reports and tables, modifying spreadsheets, and using functions, filters, and graphs to analyze data
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of this position
  • Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship


What Will Put You Ahead
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field
  • 2 years of analytical laboratory experience
  • 2 years' experience with Gas Chromatograph
  • Experience with instrument calibration
  • Experience with auto-titrators, distillation, and wet chemistry
  • Experience with LIMS (data entry and managing data)


Physical Requirements
  • Must be capable of regular lifting and moving up to 10 pounds, frequently lifting and moving up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lifting and moving up to 50 pounds
  • Capable of working with a glove box and air-free chamber
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Required to work a 12-hour rotating shift. Additionally, must be available to work scheduled (Planned) or unscheduled (unplanned/short-notice hours on nights and/or weekends, holidays as needed), to meet business needs
  • Required to work overtime as required by the business
  • Participate on Fire and Rescue Emergency Response teams
