Description:

Job Summary:

The Patient Intake Supervisor ensures all rental patients are successfully onboarded by supervising the patient intake team and reviewing onboarding activities. This position is responsible for the day to day operations of the rental intake team; such as team productivity, training, improving medical documentation reviews and coaching on obtaining documentation timely while acquiring a complete patient file.

Responsibilities (Specific tasks, duties, essential functions of the job)

  • Supervises and drives productivity at the individual and team level based on goals set by leadership.
  • Leads the team members in achieving monthly team metrics and KPIs.
  • Resolves disputes, escalations, and complex issues in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Ensure newly enrolled rental patients have a clear understanding of Inogen’s rental program.
  • Conducts on-going analysis for process improvements, improved efficiency, workflows, learning aids, policies and procedures to enhance the patient intake process.
  • Ensure the procurement of all necessary paperwork for successful claims filing.
  • Ensure Inogen's compliance with all state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure that appropriate medical records are maintained according to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Consult with physician offices to answer questions and procure, medical records, CMN's and Rx's.
  • Meet business unit denial rate objectives.
  • Assists in managing systems (Salesforce, Oracle, telephony) & necessary improvements/links to other software’s.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with any other duties as assigned.

  • Experience in operating appropriate computer hardware and CRM software is required.
  • Experience in consulting with physicians and hospital referral sources.

Qualifications (Experience and Education)

  • Associates degree in a technical discipline, required.
  • 5 years of experience in include operations, call center management, insurance billing/oxygen or HME billing, required.
  • 1-2 years’ in a lead or supervisory role, required.
  • Intermediate knowledge/proficiency Microsoft Office, Fastrack, Oracle, required.
  • A combination of training, education and experience that is equivalent to the qualifications listed above and that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
