Electrical Intern Summary

Summer/School Year Engineering Intern will work onsite in Plano, TX during the school year for up to 25 hours per week. As an Electrical Engineering intern, you will contribute to R& D deliverables, assist with new product development and sustaining tasks, optimize in-house development testing and processes, and engage in design control activities. The intern will meet regularly with their coach to define daily tasks and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of electrical systems and components.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support engineering projects.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop innovative solutions to engineering challenges.
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and components.
  • Document and report project progress and findings.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and theories.
  • Proficiency in using electrical engineering software and testing tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication, teamwork abilities, and documentation practices.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship or work experience in electrical engineering.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
  • Experience with circuit design and PCB layout and simulation tools.
