Hotel Lucine is hiring!

Description:

Compensation-$110, 000+ Bonus EligibleThe Opportunity
We are seeking a General Manager who understands that Hotel Lucine is not simply a place to stay. It is a mood, a gathering place, and a cultural anchor along the Texas Gulf Coast. This leader will step into operations at the height of peak season, requiring immediate operational command, strong F& B fluency, and visible, confident leadership.

Hotel Lucine operates less like a traditional hotel and more like a beachside social club. Guests move fluidly between pool, rooftop, restaurant, and bar, often arriving for dinner or cocktails and deciding to stay the night. The property carries a house-party energy balanced by intentional service, thoughtful design, and serious culinary ambition.

Food and beverage are central to the identity of the hotel. Multiple outlets drive both guest experience and local relevance, positioning Lucine as a destination for Galveston residents as much as travelers. Dining, music, events, and social programming animate the property from morning coffee through late-night cocktails.
The Role
As General Manager, you are the steward of the Lucine experience across hotel operations, food and beverage performance, and cultural identity. You will lead a highly active lifestyle property entering its busiest season, ensuring operational excellence while preserving the relaxed, social energy that defines the brand.

This role demands a leader equally comfortable managing financial performance, directing complex F& B operations, and hosting guests poolside on a sold-out summer weekend. You will balance structure with spontaneity, maintaining disciplined operations while protecting the property's sense of authenticity and coastal ease.

You will partner closely with hotel management, ownership, and your team to align vision, execution, and profitability across all outlets. Success in this role requires deep engagement with Galveston's local community, positioning Hotel Lucine as both neighborhood gathering place and sought-after destination.

This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership position suited for someone energized by dynamic environments, heavy volume periods, and lifestyle-driven hospitality.
What You'll Do
  • Lead all hotel and food and beverage operations, ensuring seamless integration between guest rooms, restaurants, bars, pool programming, and events.
  • Step into peak season operations with immediate focus on staffing stability, service execution, revenue optimization, and guest experience consistency.
  • Drive strong F& B performance across all outlets, partnering with culinary and beverage leaders to maintain vibrant, profitable, and locally relevant programming.
  • Own financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and expense discipline across both rooms and F& B divisions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between ownership, operators, and on-property leadership, maintaining clarity, accountability, and trust.
  • Champion service culture rooted in warmth, approachability, and confident hospitality rather than formality.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing leadership team capable of executing at high volume while maintaining boutique-level service.
  • Maintain an active presence throughout the property, particularly during evenings, weekends, and high-demand seasonal periods.
  • Ensure the property remains safe, well maintained, and operationally sound while preserving the relaxed coastal atmosphere guests expect.
Who You Are
  • An experienced lifestyle or boutique hotel General Manager with significant food and beverage leadership exposure.
  • Comfortable leading high-energy environments where restaurants and bars are major revenue drivers.
  • Operationally sharp and financially disciplined, with proven success managing profitability during peak seasonal demand.
  • A natural host who thrives on visibility, guest interaction, and team engagement.
  • Calm under pressure, capable of navigating busy weekends, events, and high occupancy with confidence and positivity.
  • A culture builder who values collaboration, accountability, and team development.
  • Someone who appreciates design, music, food culture, and the social nature of hospitality.
  • Able to balance independent spirit with operational structure, protecting the personality of the hotel while ensuring consistency.
  • Ideally familiar with coastal or resort markets and the cadence of seasonal business cycles.
Why This Is Different
Independent ownership with a clear creative vision and entrepreneurial energy.

A boutique hotel where food, beverage, and culture drive identity as much as guest rooms.

An established property with strong momentum and growing regional recognition.

The opportunity to lead a modern revival of the classic American beach motel, blending nostalgia, design, and culinary relevance.

A leadership role with meaningful autonomy, visibility, and long-term influence over one of Galveston's most distinctive hospitality experiences.
